Step 4:

Transfer funds from your old account to your new Midwest Heritage account and close your previous bank account. (See the switch kit forms to the right to help you provide written notification if required).

Switch checklist

  • Send written notification of your new account information to your direct deposit vendors; this includes payroll, social security, automated payments or dividend deposits.
  • Send written notification of your new account information to vendors who automatically withdraw payments from your checking account; this includes recurring debit card charges, recurring bills, or prescheduled transfers (utilities, insurance companies, internet service providers, club membership dues, charitable contributions, etc.)
  • In order to schedule your online bill payments on your Midwest Heritage Bank account, you will need the payee name, address, phone number and account number for each of the bills you wish to pay electronically. You may print your existing payee screen and use this as a guide when scheduling these payments with your Midwest Heritage Bank Bill Pay service.
