Allstate term life coverage helps offer peace of mind during life-changing events. Final expenses and daily bills shouldn't add to the stress. The cash benefit when a covered employee dies can be used to pay off debts, provide for childcare or educational expenses, or replace income to continue the same standard of living.

How do I enroll?

• During Open Enrollment (Fall 2023)
• First 30 days of employment or first 30 days following a Full Time/Regular Time to Part Time status change
• First 30 days following a qualifying life event

Basic Life Insurance: Contribution-Eligible Employees Only:

Hy-Vee offers Basic life insurance coverage to provide financial protection if you die while you are still working. Hy-Vee covers the full cost of a $10,000 benefit amount for eligible Part-Time employees. Part-Time employees who are not eligible may choose to enroll in the voluntary offering. Employees may become eligible for the Hy-Vee premium contribution upon reaching 6 months of PT employment with Hy-Vee and averaging 20 or more hours worked per week for 13 pay periods.

Upon meeting the contribution eligibility requirements, eligible employees will be auto-enrolled in this benefit by Hy-Vee. Further details may be found at hy-veePTenroll.com or Hy-Vee Huddle, on the H.R./Benefits page.
